                                                         Mock Juries

Purpose

Discover the strengths and weaknesses of your case in the eyes of actual jurors. Field-test your team, marshal corrective action, and gain leverage in pre-trial settlements.

Process

Most mock juries at our facilities are run by jury consultants. We can also provide design guidance to law firms who wish to run their own mock juries. However, should more extensive consultation be required, we can recommend several highly qualified jury consultants for you to use.

  1. We empanel mock jurors from the Connecticut counties and with the demographic or personality characteristics that you specify.

  2. Divide your firm into two camps. At our research facility, each camp presents its side of the case to the jurors. Give arguments, show exhibits, cross-examine witnesses.

  3. After the presentation to the jurors and, depending on the number of jurors you have empanelled, the jurors are separated into focus groups of 8 to 10 participants to deliberate in different mirrored viewing rooms. After juror groups deliberate and come to a decision in the case, your staff can debrief each group and further probe their reasoning process. Full sessions run from four hours to all day.
